If you’re like most moms, your body changes shape many times over the course of motherhood. With the exception of a few lucky gals, most of us have to face the facts of life in that our bodies get a little wider with childbirth and our metabolisms slow down with age. Plus, eating healthy gets harder as time goes on and schedules get busier and busier. So, rather than try to constantly get back to your wedding day size and curse yourself for being ten pounds heavier, shop for your current size and embrace your new curvier, more womanly figure.
There are many great deals on junior plus size dresses available making it easy to find fabulous fashion finds for less. Shop around and look for styles that will flatter your fuller figure. Just because you are a size or two bigger than you were, doesn’t mean you can’t dress to impress.
Wedding season is in high gear. I have personally gone to three weddings so far this summer, each in their own right beautiful. One was casual and fun (by far the most fun), the second was outdoors and rustic but chic and everyone was from out of town so it had the most orchestrated timeline that really incorporated the guests into the flow of things which made it rather enjoyable. The third was the most ostentatious, it was stunning beyond stunning, it kind of put Kim Kardashian’s wedding to shame, and unlike hers, this one will last.
All three brides had custom engagement rings, but each was so different from the next. My favorite was the vineyard wedding bride, because it really fit her personality and you could tell the groom put a lot of thought into her ring. He didn’t just go for size or clarity, but he created his own design and had it made into her ring. It was so personal and thoughtful and everything that a symbolic gesture at a wedding should be.
Looking for new ideas in jewelry? You’ve come to the right place, as I love jewelry and am constantly on the hunt for the latest and greatest finds in mens and womens jewelry fashions. When it comes to design and fashion, there is no better way to tie and outfit together than with the right jewelry and accessories.
One of my newest finds is benchmark rings. These rings are are engineered for comfort with what they call the Comfort Fit design, which allows for a better fit. How this comes to be is the inside of the ring is curved, giving a smooth fit on your finger. Plus the company is very much into superior quality, paying special attention to settings, and engineering the best designs for today’s fashionable man or woman.
One of my favorite rings by them has three black diamonds, set in a white gold bezel and it is the perfect style and fit for my husband.
My husband and I are currently in the midst of revamping our kitchen and so we’ve been on the hunt for new kitchen accent pieces, accessories and dinnerware that will go with our new wall color, countertops and kitchen cabinets. We wanted to find something that was beautiful in everyday use but that also had a bit of old world charm and character.
I was so pleased when I stumbled upon the GG Collection. The combination of metal accents and the glazed ceramics gives this lines of dinnerware and accessories a distinct look and great function . I love the Baroque Beverage tub, one of my favorites in the collection. The plates are also simple yet elegant and I love the detail in the patterns. We also picked up a few of the frames which I’ve used to display some of my favorite old world recipes passed down from my great grandmother, which brought character and a personal touch to our kitchen window.
I can’t help but to look at womens engagement rings any chance I get. I don’t know what it is, but I am simply fascinated with other womens rings. Don’t get me wrong, I love my own engagement ring that my husband gave me and think it is by far one of the prettiest rings, but there is just something about weddings and men professing their love and women proudly wearing a ring because it is not only gorgeous, but it’s a symbol of her man’s love for her.
Call me old fashioned, but I think this is one of the most special parts about weddings today. Most brides get very caught up in all the details of wedding planning and the big day, and rightfully so, but for me, I love the jewelry. It’s the one element of the whole day that truly lasts a lifetime and longer. I plan to pass my engagement ring on to my daughter or son one day as a family heirloom. The sentimental value makes me weapy just thinking about when that day will come – and of course, I’ll be just as excited to see how I’ll replace the vacant spot on my finger!
