Some friends of mine have been dealing with some annoying vandals in their neighborhood.  It appears it’s nothing more than bored and mischievous teenagers on summer vacation with nothing better to do than mark up their neighbors porches with chalk profanities.  It seems harmless enough as it’s not permanent markings or even causing damage to their properties, but it has become quite the neighborhood nuisance, especially for my friends who are trying to sell their home.

So, they’ve decided to install a dome camera near their home’s entry and catch these guys in the act.  After a few days of having the camera up, which is barely visible due to its sleek and compact appearance, they were able to catch the action and present a nice video tape to the parents of the kids.  The chalk bombs as they’ve become to be known as have stopped and my friends even got an offer on their house.  Sometimes it just takes some minor preventative measures to keep peace in the neighborhood, and for my friends, well they are on to the next adventure.
