AS we go through certain phases in our lives, the lifestyle, fashion and values of our friends and loved ones become more apparent in reference to our own. I’m currently in that phase of life where weddings out number concerts and bridal and baby showers are more frequent than date night at the movies. It quickly becomes obvious what style people have when it comes to weddings. All the natural quirks and intricacies are brought out and good or bad, you can really get a sense of a person’s style.

I went to a friend’s bridal shower this past weekend and the contemporary engagement rings that they had chosen for her were stunning. It really set the mood for the entire theme of the wedding, shower and bachelorette parties to come. Everything is going to be contemporary in style, slightly modern with a classic spin, and lots of color blocking with her bridal colors. The bridesmaid dresses have a cool chevron pattern, which happen to match closely to the design of her engagement ring, which is one of the coolest black diamond I’ve ever seen.
