I love looking to other sources in my life for inspiration in designing rooms in my home. This is one way that I get unique results that fit my style but are not seen in every model home tour you pass through. To do this, I think about the materials I use on a daily basis. For example, my jewelry. I have a couple tungsten rings that I wear almost every day. I love the heavy feel to them and the cool dark grey tones go well with so many of my outfits. I will then think of this color and find sources for materials in other styles that I can incorporate into my renovation.

I took the inspiration from my tungsten rings and found glass tile that I love to use in the bathroom. We’re going to use it as the backsplash behind the sinks as well as detail design for the shower.
