I just bought a bunch of spinach to cook with, put in my smoothies and add to meals for added nutrition. Although Joe (my boyfriend) doesn’t like spinach plain, I add a little bit to our meals so we are still taking in the nutrition but don’t notice it’s there. A while back I found a recipe for carrot chips, and they actually turned out really well. I just found a recipe for spinach chips, and I just have to try them.
I have a few different dips that would go well with these so I can’t wait to see if they turn out. I’m doing a test run today and if they are good I’m going to make a few batches. I have some company coming this weekend so this would be perfect as an appetizer or little snack. I always like having snacks on hand for company.

I would be lying if I said I didn’t enjoy football. My boyfriend is completely obsessed with the game so in a way I’m forced to watch it, however I don’t mind it. It’s not the game I enjoy but the food and beer I drink during the game. There is something so cozy about Football Sunday that is hard not to enjoy.
Each Sunday we plan on making a new yummy appetizer. This upcoming Sunday will be cheese dip. Recipe located here. When I get bored during the games I usually end up whipping out some crafts, reading part of my book or sun bathing in front of the huge window of the couch. This Sunday I’m going to create some coasters out of old sports cards. I thought it would be a cute thing to make during Fall and my boyfriend will love them! Stocking up on all the essentials now.
I just moved into a new apartment with a gigantic window! I think the window was the reason I moved here, it’s not often you find an apartment with plenty of light. It brings in tons of sun in the afternoon (starting around 2pm till sundown). I’m also an avid cooker, I love using fresh herbs. I figured this was good growing conditions for herbs so I’m going to try my own indoor DIY herb garden.
The main herbs I want to grow are cilantro, basil (lots of basil), thyme, and oregano. I figured I would start with the basics and start small, to see if I actually produce. The main thing to keep in mind is that the herbs need lots of direct sunlight. I’m going to have to find a skinny tall table to put my herbs on directly in front of the window so it catches all the afternoon sun.
I have been seeing sweater ponchos pop up in stores, on Pinterest and in magazines. Are they back in style? Along with denim jackets, I have always been a huge fan of the poncho, although not everyone has. They are basically like a warm blanket wrapped around you and are cute, how can you not like these?
I love this tan sweater poncho with leggings. The neckline isn’t too much (usually there is so much bunchy fabric on the neckline, this one is just the right amount). I love the long sleeve top underneath and the Hunter boots. This would be cute with regular boots too. What is your take on the poncho?
I’m pleading guilty. Yes, I have started Christmas shopping, is that so bad? I know it’s not even October yet but I found such a steal on discounted Coach handbags, I couldn’t resist. My Mom isn’t the type to purchase expensive things for herself. She lives a simple life and doesn’t splurge on little luxuries for herself (we are totally opposite).
So, if she doesn’t purchase anything for herself I make sure to spoil her and gift her with things she wouldn’t normally purchase for herself. Her birthday falls at the end of November so usually we clump her birthday and Christmas present into one. But not this year. She has been wanting a Kindle Fire for some time now and I saw they were only $159.00 at Amazon. We (my brother, Dad and myself) are getting her the Kindle Fire for her birthday and I’m getting her a cute Coach purse for Christmas. I literally can’t wait! She will be so shocked
