I would consider myself a casual dresser, meaning I love to wear a simple pair of skinny jeans and loose top. Chambrays have become a fashion staple in my closet, as well as leapord flats. You can’t go wrong with a simple black skinny jeans and thin belt either.
Since I don’t need to dress up for work, this is an outfit you would see me in on a typical day, during the week or on the weekend. It’s casual and most importantly, comfortable. This IS my go to outfit.
Happy Cyber Monday Friends!Sorry, I have totally been MIA for most all of November, with the holidays I have been so busy. I know it’s no excuse but I plan on posting throughout all of December and I have lots of fun posts planned, wait for the sneak peak! Today I want to talk shopping, as I do most other days. What makes today better than most other shopping days? 1. It’s time to holiday shop and 2. It’s CYBER MONDAY. Pretty much my favorite holidays of the year, way better than Black Friday.
What are you ordering today? This has to be the biggest day of the year for people to be shopping online during work. Of course I’m on the hunt for gifts, and maybe a gift or 2 for myself, I plead guilty. I can’t resist when there are such good deals like designer black handbags online, which are never on sale. For special items like this, that only go on sale a few times a year I just have to splurge. Where are you finding hot deals?
If you are looking for style inspiration, especially for work outfits, look at this blog! This girl comes up with the cutest outfits, wearing items from Target and Forever 21. All of us have similar items to her, but if you’re like me you lose ways to incorporate them. She takes items you probably already have and mixes them in a way I never thought. It seems like her wardrobe is so huge!
Not that I have to dress up for my job, but if you do you need to check this out. She posts regularly so there is always something new to see too. I always go to her blog if I’m stuck in a “fashion fog” or just looking for some fashion inspiration. I see her pins on Pinterest all the time and they get tons of repins, like thousands. Check her out!
I’m always attracted to bright colors and polka dots, which is why I’m completely obsessed with this look. If I had to pin point my personal fashion style I would call it a bohemian-classic-clean look. Although those words don’t make much sense together, I have days where I’m “feeling” each way. Some days I wear button downs for a preppy twist, sometimes very loose whimsical tops that channel my bohemian look. Every day is different, as I’m sure yours is to.
I have yet to pair a button down top with a sweater like this but I always love the look. Whenever I try to do it I feel I can’t pull it off, yet I’m always attracted to it. I love the way this top is paired with the lace embellished sweater. I have a lot of sweaters, and even sweatshirts, like this one. I always think the neckline is weird but would be much be3tter with layers underneath. This completely inspired me and I hope it does for you to!
I’m all about longer hemlines, classic shapes and complimenting fabrics. I’m loving the movement of trends from low riser jeans to classy flowing shapes. I don’t know about you but the styles we have had in the last 5 years have been somewhat horrific. Nobody looks good in low rise jeans or extremely tight tops. Knowing what fits your body right and what is on trend are two entirely different things. Not to mention that that style was nothing but uncomfortable.
I’m so glad to see classy retro style making a comeback. Whenever I look at pictures of my Grandma back in the day I always wish I could have been around in that era. The style was so beautiful. Red lips, a-line skirts and button down tops. Women covered up their lady parts and looked a lot more sexy then the overbearing skin of today. This lace skirt is a classic shape with a modern twist. I absolutely love the length and cut, which would be flattering on anyone.
