You know those days, or even those weeks, where it seems like everything is going wrong. If it’s not one thing, it’s another.
They say bad things come in 3′s and after today I had my 3rd bad thing happen for the week. Today calls for massages in Huntington Beach. If it weren’t for relaxing days at the spa or working out, I would be a wreck. I take my stress out on working out and then completely pampering myself.
Well this week has been one of those weeks so this afternoon I will be going on the longest, sweatiest run followed by weight lifting and a shower. I will then go get a facial and massage to completely unwind. This is how I relieve stress, it has always worked for me and it completely rejuvenates me, what’s your de-stress method?
Summer is almost upon us and with summer, one can’t help but to think of the beach. I love the beach and even more, I love designing with beach inspired elements. Sure you can have beach decor anywhere in your home, indoors and out, but one of my favorite places to have a beach inspiration is in what I call, the R&R room, rest and relaxation. Nothing says relax like getting frequent massages in Huntington Beach or other beach cities. We might not all be able to do this, but you can easily capture that experience in your home.
To do this, find a room or even a space in your home that you can deem, the rest and relaxation section of your house. Add a few candles in fresh ocean scents and colors, incorporate some nautical themed decor like dock lines or beach lanterns into the space. You can also fill apothecary jars or mason jars with sand and seashells. Then frame a few pieces of beach or ocean artwork or photographs and hang them. If your room allows for it, give the walls a fresh set of paint and add a nice relaxing chair.
With Mother’s Day quickly approaching, many people are wondering what to get the mother’s in their lives for this special holiday occasion. Many of my designer friends are in fact mothers and busy wives as well as talented designers and we decided to list our top five gift ideas for busy moms.
Coming in at number five is a good massage. As busy working moms, nothing says you’re appreciated like a massage. It’s relaxing and recharging and definitely says, “mom, you’re the best!”. If you’re looking for massages in Huntington Beach, there are many options. Whichever you choose, you are sure to pick a winner. Number four is a Starbucks gift card. This is by far an easy gift that will keep on giving, energy that is. Number three is a fun excursion like trapeze or zip lining. Number two is a good old fashion dinner and movie. And number one is a simple fun day with the family.
