Design can be the most fun when you mix in the unexpected into a project. For example, if you are looking to design a men’s bedroom or even a man cave, you can do this beyond the traditional way by incorporating other elements into the mix.  By combining sports memorabilia with classic pieces like  jewelry and mens titanium wedding bands  or bringing in architecture to a downtown bar feeling.  However you choose to mix it up, stick to a theme and keep the mixing to a limit of two to three components.

One of my favorite designs I did for a client was a baseball themed library that incorporated black and white photographs of all the greats with a mixture of sleek photographs of fine men’s jewelry. The contrast of refinement and rugged sports gave a balance to the room that one would not expect.  There were bright colored pictures of famous baseball fields framed in titanium picture frames and a cool piece of art that mixed rings and signed baseballs.
